Approval by the Board of Education of a Services Agreement 2026-2027 by and between the District and East Bay Asian Youth Center, Oakland, CA, for the latter to facilitate high school reading mentors who will go into 4-5 elementary schools and hold reading circles with TK-2 students during after school; facilitate and host job training for students, match them with sites and monitor and coach their work with younger youth; and pay a student stipend specifically for this work and collect data about the efficacy of the program, via Community Schools and Student Services Department, for the period of October 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027, in an amount not to exceed $25,960.00.
