Ratification by the Board of Education of a Services Agreement 2022-2023 by and between the District and Space80seven LLC, Stockton, CA, for the latter to provide a pre-apprenticeship style Work Based Learning internship with hands-on training for nine students to ensure that each apprentice receives personalized instruction, specific learning goals tailored to the individual youth intern with specific outcomes connected to their learning:
• Demystification of the behind-the-scenes structure of the modern music industry by providing students with hands-on experience in artist brand development.
• Training based on industry standards.
• Prepare underrepresented populations to be successful.
• Participants receive mentorship from producers, engineers, a&r, music video directors, songwriters, and brand developers.
• Interns will participate in Career Exploration Field trips including a two-day Multi Media externship in Los Angeles, CA
in the Media Academy and Architectural CTE Programs at Fremont High, for the period of December 1, 2022 through May 31, 2023, in an amount not to exceed $41,000.00.
