Approval by the Board of Education of a Services Agreement 2021-2022 by and between the District and Alameda County Health Care Services Agency, San Leandro, CA, for the latter to contract with District School-Based Health Centers to provide a range of services, including case management and mental health counseling, physical exams/sports physicals, diagnosis and treatment of minor illness, injury and medical conditions, STD screening and treatment, health education for students and families (e.g., nutrition/physical fitness, adolescent development, sexual health, dental screening and treatment, youth development programs (e.g., peer health education, student research teams, youth advisory boards)), professional development for school staff, outreach to youth and their families, community-wide health promotion events and activities, and referrals to health and social service providers on and off-site and to contract with the District’s  Central Family Resource Center lead agency to provide health insurance enrollment, case management, food access programs, early literacy playgroups, English as a Second Language classes, and other support services available to all District families, via Community Schools and Student Services Department, for the period of July 1, 2021, through June 30, 2022, in an amount not to exceed $1,500,000.00.
