Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and Jaclyn Caldwell, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide a gardening education program where students will demonstrate an increased appreciation of healthy foods, a greater understanding of the effect that natural food consumption has on health; discover their family histories of plant growing and stories connected to gardening in their families, offering students a strong connection to school and possibly interest in gardening into internships and/or paying jobs because of this early education at Sequoia Elementary School, for the period of September 3, 2019 through May 15, 2020, in an amount not to exceed $25,000.00.
