Approval by the Board of Education of Amendment No. 2, Memorandum of Understanding between the District and East Bay Asian Youth Center, Oakland, CA, for the latter to work in partnership with the regular summer school program to expand and enhance summer enrichment and support services for students; collaborate with the summer school site to provide afternoon enrichment, physical activity, and support services, enabling students to participate in a full six hour, daily summer learning program; program activities based on youth development quality standards; work collaboratively with the District Summer and After School Programs Offices; conduct outreach for summer student recruitment, communicate with families regularly over the summer, fulfill District grant reporting requirements including submission of summer attendance records, and will maintain communication with the District Summer and After School Offices to review progress on summer program goals for the Summer Learning Program at Franklin Elementary School, for the period of July 1, 2017 through August 17, 2018, in the amount of $29,640.00, increasing the MOU not to exceed amount from $145,570.00 to $175,210.00. All other terms and conditions of the MOU remain in full force and effect.
