Title: Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and GreatSchools, Inc., Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide services from its Family Engagement Lab to work with District's English Language Arts/Literacy Team to develop a playlist of text messages that coordinate with District's Kindergarten literacy scope and sequence; provide training on the Fasttalk system to participating teachers; load participating families into the Fasttalk system and send text messages three times a week; send teachers weekly summary emails of the text messages and any responses from parents to poll questions; debrief teachers sometime during the middle of the school year, via the Research, Data and Assessment Department, for the period of December 11, 2017 through June 30, 2018, in an amount not to exceed $7,500.00.
