Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and Destiny Arts Center, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide 32 weeks of African Dance residency, 19 hours per week (a total of 70 classes per week +2 hours of planning used for classroom teachers collaboration), with each student receiving at least one session of dance instruction per week throughout the school year, and provide twice yearly retreats at its North Oakland center to build community among school staff and Destiny Teaching artist and the community at Community United Elementary School, for the period of September 11, 2017 through June 8, 2017, in an amount not to exceed $31,267.00.
