Title: Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and Center for Adolescent Studies, Inc., Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide two 3 hour trainings of mindfulness techniques developed to build resilience in youth grounded in Restorative Practices and Trauma-Informed Care for District Intervention Coaches who educate secondary students about how to quit tobacco use, in classroom and assembly anti-tobacco/marijuana presentations; Alcohol, Tobacco & Other Drugs (ATOD) awareness sessions for students violating District tobacco/drug free policies; cessation and strengths-based life skills and academic coaching, and other activities, described in the Scope of Work, incorporated herein by reference as though fully set forth, via the Community Schools and Student Services Department, for the period of July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018, in an amount not to exceed $1,500.00.
