Title: Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and Sylvan Learning Center, Piedmont, CA, for the latter to provide 30 hours of academic services for 24 (+ 2 scholarship) students; provide all teachers, curriculum and support materials such as workbooks, pencils, etc.; pre-test more students than will be accepted into the program - and select students based on need and potential growth on the SAC; utilize the GRADE assessment (ratio will be 8/9:1); conduct all parent outreach; provide students with incentives for attendance and hard work; provide 5 weeks of instruction - 6 hours per week - 1 1/2 hours a day from Monday - Thursday, at Lafayette Elementary School, for the term February 21, 2017 through March 30, 2017, in an amount not to exceed $20,000.00.
