Approval by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and HERO, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide 1000 hours of service in the form of coaches providing a source of intervention to at-risk students by using community building and team building exercises and structured yard activities to support student academic focus and social development; provide professional development for staff members to better connect with and support at-risk students in classrooms in order to reduce suspension rates, at Emerson Elementary School, for the period of August 01, 2016 through June 30, 2017, in an amount not to exceed $30,000.00.
