Title

Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and Vincil Carter, Chicago, IL, for the latter to provide facilitation of meetings with executive director, OUSD principals, regional directors, athletic directors, and sports coaches, as well as, BACSAC administrators and coaches, to provide and promote in-service training and professional development for all coaches in their sports field, sportsmanship, and leadership; assist in expanding the Aries platform to provide online tracking of student-athletes’ eligibility, sports enrollment, and other academic/athletic related data; solicit and secure sponsorship for OAL events from private foundation, public foundations, sports teams, and local businesses; observe and assess sporting events; provide assessments, to those involved, for discussion; assess sports fields and facilities; provide proper departments with written work orders; provide online schedules for all high school and middle school sports; assist in providing an avenue for the recruiting of high school and middle school coaches in conjunction with Human Resources; support the continued expansion of sports at each school and increased participation at each school; provide guidance for Title IX compliance; and complete any other tasks assigned by the OUSD administration or the Executive Director, Oakland Athletic League, via the Oakland Athletic League, for the period of July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017, in an amount not to exceed $40,000.00.
