Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and Peacemakers, San Leandro, CA, for the latter to provide academic and social/emotional mentoring and tutoring to vulnerable students, in order to improve achievement in the areas of reading and study skills to increase student's time on task and support learning goals; support with coordination of services, home visits, and necessary resources to improve student achievement for the many students who are highly impacted, so they develop habits of mind that develop grade level proficiency, and closed the achievement gap at Futures Elementary School, for the period of February 16, 2016 through June 10, 2016, in an amount not to exceed $20,000.00.
