Title: Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and Reach Institute for School Leadership, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide high quality, job-embedded professional development for teachers, focused on the implementation of the Common Core State Standards, with specific outcome goals of to include 1. Improved deep, widespread knowledge of subject-area content (Fractions / Argumentative Writing); 2. Consistent implementation of best-practice instruction (CCSS has provided a foundation for the what of instruction - PD will focus on the how); and 3. Further development of collegial networks across elementary, middle and high school teachers at Madison Park Academy, for the period of October 8, 2015 through June 30, 2016, in an amount not to exceed $35,000.00.
