Title: Approval by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and Oakland Public Education Fund, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide an individual to partner with principals of Elmhurst Community Preparatory School, New Highland Academy, and Rise Academy to develop K-8 literacy alignment with regard to common tools and means of parent outreach; schedule, coordinate, and host 5th/6th grade teachers convening and co-planning session; conduct walk-throughs, with instructional leadership teams at the three schools, to monitor the extent of alignment and collaboration; co-develop work plans for 5th/6th grade pro-social SEL work to be undertaken by peer Restorative Justice Coordinator and design and implement middle transition processes and plans to support 5th graders transition to middle school, at named schools, for the term August 24, 2015 through January 29, 2016, in an amount not to exceed $30,000.00.
