Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and the Center for the Collaborative Classroom (CCC), Emeryville, CA, for the later to develop a structure of four Caring School Community (CSC)/Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Demonstration Schools with twenty collaborating schools that can be sustained and replicated within the District as a model for using programmatic SEL to accelerate student success in CCSS/NGSS; provide expert coaching for teachers and site leaders at school sites to implement Caring School Community (CSC) curricula in support of academic achievement, align CSC with each school's academic and climate and culture priorities, support teacher inquiry and data collection and provide support for site based leadership teams to model SEL practices in adult learning communities; and provide materials and curriculum to support the Demonstration Schools, as described in the Scope of Work, incorporated herein by reference as though fully set forth, via the Community Schools and Student Services Department, for the period of January 12, 2015 through June 30, 2015, in an amount not to exceed $44,000.00.
