Approval by the Board of Education of Amendment No. 2 to the Professional Services Contract between the District and Be The Change Consulting, LLC, Oakland, CA, for the latter to complete the Building Intentional Communities (BIC) arc of learning and development for the final two cohorts of elementary program sites who have been involved in the BIC professional learning community for the past two years; thirteen participating program sites will join twelve other elementary programs; twenty middle school programs, and fourteen high school programs in receiving intensive support and training to include eight monthly learning communities they will facilitate, BIC curriculum materials, twenty four hours/site of coaching support to integrate BIC strategies into after school programs, and four customized site-based trainings per participating program; agency will work closely with the OUSD After School Programs Office to align the Building Intentional Communities learning community with the youth development quality standards that guide the work of OUSD after school programs for the period of September 1, 2014 through June 30, 2015, in the additional amount of $121,175.00, increasing the Contract not to exceed amount from $51,225.00 to $172,400.00. All other terms and conditions of the Contract remain in full force and effect.
