Title: Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and Brooklyn Williams, Oakland, CA for the latter to provide technical assistance to teachers implementing Meaningful Student Engagement (MSE) curriculum and school culture efforts at 6 high school sites: Castlemont, Dewey Academy, Oakland International High School, McClymonds, Rudsdale and Oakland High School, including 1) regular coaching sessions with teachers, 2) modeling lesson plans/engaged instruction, 3) troubleshooting challenges that arise with alignment to All City Council efforts, annual district-wide youth action research, and partnership between site teacher and community MSE partner for the Family Engagement Support Services Unit of the Community Schools and Student Services Department, for the period of September 2, 2014 through June 30, 2015, in the amount of $20,000.00.
