Title: Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and Halima Dotson-Franklin, Berkeley, CA, for the latter to perform library instruction and resources, coordinate book give away and Scholastic Book Fair, purchase library and supplemental books for students and teachers, work with students and parents, and teachers to extend the community-based literacy program through the library; support the literacy component of the School2Home program; serve as testing coordinator and oversee CELDT testing, STAR testing and assist ILLT with the SBAC testing; work with small groups of (3-5) students to improve their reading skills by providing them with reading strategies; and provide resources to students, parents and teachers at Frick Middle School, for the period of September 9, 2013 through June 27, 2014, in an amount not to exceed $15,000.00.
