Approval by the Board of Education of Amendment No. 1, Professional Services Contract between District and Oakland Schools Foundation, for the latter to provide services to:
• Build effective collaboration across schools to share programs and practices that support school-family partnerships (Increase parent involvement by 20%);
·Support effective, sustainable school-site Family Resource Centers and staff (Re-establish a center with functioning resources, such as computer so families can be informed of their child's academic progress);
• Develop tools and strategies that support family participation and leadership in student learning and development (Workshops on CELDT, CST, Reading); and
• Support schools in developing structures to partner with families in the interest of student achievement (Weekly meetings with targeted families to have students GPA no lower than 2.0) at United for Success Academy, in the additional amount of $17,236.48, increasing the Contract not exceed amount from $38,524.80 to $55,761.28, and extending the contract period of May 1, 2014 through December 31, 2013 to June 30, 2014. All other terms and conditions of the Contract remain in full force and effect.
