Title
Approval by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and Moving Forward Education, Emeryville, CA, for the latter to 1) provide 4 part-time staff members to each school site (2.0 FTE); 12 staff total for the 3 school project (6.0 FTE); 2) deliver 1512 hours of direct services to each school site before September 30, 2014; 4536 hours total for the total project; 3) deliver 272.25 hours of indirect services (training, professional development, supervision, observation) to each school site before September 30, 2014; 1089 hours total for the project 4) support students and teachers by providing individualized instruction in the context of their classrooms; 5) provide ongoing and focused mentoring support to identified target students, reducing suspensions by 25%; 6) support a caseload of students to pass the CAHSEE, increasing the pass rate of 12th grade students served to 70% and support students to accelerate their credit recovery, at partner school sites, Dewey, Bunche, and Rudsdale High Schools, for the period of March 3, 2014 through May 30, 2014, in an amount not to exceed $225,000.00.
