Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and Brandon Hughes, Oakland, CA, for the latter to serve as a Teaching artist in residence and will be on campus 4 days per week for approximately 7 hours per day to do teaching artist lessons in 5 classes and set up and break down, for 4-5 weeks, where he will help students create a piece of writing related to the school values and aligned with history content; meet with teacher of seventh grade history and collaborate on the design of the lesson on a weekly basis; coordinate the design of the residency, in an amount not to exceed $6,300.00 at Bret Harte Middle School, for the period of March 17, 2014 through June 12, 2014
