Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and Bay Area Education Consulting, Martinez, CA, for the latter to provide 64 hours of on-going School Improvement process by: preparing training materials for the School Quality Review; creating a time-line for afore-mentioned process so that the school community is prepared for the visit; facilitate the preparation of the documents and SQR report to deliver to the SQR review team; facilitate the alignment of the WASC Action Plan and Site Plan to student achievement and socio-emotional skills; conduct data-based inquiry into student achievement and realign instructional and assessment practices to close achievement gap; establish a professional staff development plan to support continued school improvement; establish effective instructional strategies that help to reduce the achievement gap; and align implementation of Common Core Standards with core academic instruction through Professional Staff Development, assist staff and school community to create an action plan to follow through on the Site Quality Review/WASC Self-Study at Ralph J. Bunche Continuation School, for the period of April 15, 2014 through June 30, 2014, in an amount not to exceed $4,000.00.
