Approval by the Board of Education of Resolution No. 1315-1053 - Approving Fiscal Year 2014-2015 E-Rate Application and Conditional Award of Bids, Agreements for Services and/or Work, which are eligible for E-Rate and CTF discounts of 80%-90%, as follows:
• Comcast Business Communications, LLC to provide Wide Area Network (WAN) Services, for the period of July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2019 for an amount not to exceed $1,584,000 annually,
• Alameda County Office of Education (ACOE) ACOEnet for the period from July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2017 to provide managed internet services for an amount not to exceed $109,752 annually,
• SchoolWires for Webhosting for the period of July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2015 for an amount not to exceed $68,320 annually,
• Gaggle, Inc. for Email filtering for the period of July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2015 for an amount not to exceed $55,000 annually,
• AT&T to provide telephony services under CalNet3 on a month to month basis not to exceed $1,500,000 annually,
• Jive Communications to provide Voice over IP (VOIP) services under the SPARR contract not to exceed $481,735 annually,
• AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile Wireless to provide wireless voice and data communications services on a month to month basis under the State of California WSCA contract not to exceed $250,000 annually,
and authorization for the Superintendent of Schools or designee to submit E-Rate Year 17 application to Federal Schools and Libraries Division of the Universal Service Administrative Company seeking 3,372,224 in E-Rate Year 17 funding and that said contracts, agreements stated herein are conditionally approved, subject to form and content approval by General Counsel, District's receipt of E-rate Year 17 funding and appropriation of District's match funding, as specified herein, by the Board of Education in the Fiscal Year 2014-2015 District Budget.
