Title: Approval by the Board of Education of Amendment No. 1 of a Professional Services Contract between District and Oakland Schools Foundation, Oakland, CA, for the latter to 1) provide translations services for teachers and families; 2) provide college preparation work and transition support for first generation college students and families; 3) facilitate English class for families four times weekly; 4) provide data conferences with parents, teachers and students; 5) support 6 workshops aimed at teaching parents how to use the achieve 3000 software at home with their children; 6) support families in getting their children enrolled in at least 6 weeks of summer school and summer programming to avoid the summer slide; and 7) English Language Learners (ELL) are served by our Family Resource Center (FRC) because the Achieve 3000 intervention is appropriately implemented due to training for their parents, in an additional amount not to exceed $32,865.97, increasing the Contract not to exceed a...
