Approval by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between District and Oakland Youth Outreach-Oakland, Inc., Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide 421 hours of the following services: 1) Assess the factors affecting attendance and participation in gang activities by as many as 25 students referred by the school administration; 2) Develop and implement an individual Service Plan for each referred student; 3) Monitor and support the student's subsequent attendance and withdrawal from gang activities through individual meetings and life-skills groups; and 4) Provide in-service training for school staff on recognizing signs of gang activity and improving referrals to case manager, at Met West High School, for the period February 1, 2013 through June 30, 2013, in an amount not to exceed $12,419.50.
