Title
Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between District and S & S Math Services, LLC, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide 263.16 hours of service to facilitate the professional development of the mathematics program including consulting for: (1) deepening teacher content knowledge through ongoing professional development and grade level meetings; (2) building whole school mathematics practices, including of a fact mastery program, lesson planning frameworks, ongoing standards-based assessment, math journals and gradual release for independent student work; (3) create school systems to support mathematics, including grade level academic accountability conferences, student work protocols and articulated fact mastery program, and (4) developing standards-based strategies for monitoring student progress and providing appropriate student intervention, at Futures Elementary School, for the period September 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013, in an amount not to exceed $25,000.00.
