Approval by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between District and Margy Salguera, San Pablo, CA, for the latter, to serve as Educational Mentor, to provide assistance for individual students to meet their educational needs and goals; as advocate for special education students, assist to make sure student assessments are completed, and ensure that Individualized Education Program meetings are held; facilitates student enrollment and regular school attendance to provide school placement stability; provide or facilitate tutorial and other academic support services for foster youth, provide general information regarding educational issues to foster youth and relays information about credits and educational options to students, child welfare workers, and Foster Youth Services staff and perform other services, as described in the Scope of Work, incorporated herein by reference as though fully set forth, for the Family, Schools and Community Partnership Department, for the period of October 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013, in an amount not to exceed $32,000.00.
