Title: Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between District and Reuben Roberts, for the latter to provide 1014 hours of direct on-site service in Conflict Resolution Program by collaborating with the site staff to identify, recruit 5 - 10 peer mediators (11-14 years old) that reflect the racial, ethnic and academic diversity of the school; provide the students with training in the mediation process, effective communications, problem solving and aspects of Second Step (a violence prevention/social skills curricula ….); coach peer mediators to conduct an average of 20 to 35 conflict mediations, and support the school site in creating a safe, healthy and supportive school environment for students through the framework of restorative practices at Claremont Middle School and Frick Middle School, for the period August 14, 2012 through June 30, 2013, in an amount not to exceed $25,350.00.
