Ratification by the Board of Education of Professional Services Contract between District and Toby Mickelson, Berkeley, CA, for the latter to provide 82 hours of professional development program focusing on student behavior management and classroom dynamics with focus on the use of effective strategies and techniques that enable teachers to create and maintain classroom environments that support academic and emotional growth of students; co-facilitate faculty learning groups that meet monthly to explore how teachers can best understand and make use of the basic tenets of neurocognitive science, All Kinds of Minds, developmental psychology, and personality development; work with teachers to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students with a variety of learning styles provide professional development including information and coaching on the use of student-centered assessments and interventions, including conferences with teachers and work with administrative team to improve the quality of support provided to teachers with regard to effective classroom instruction, as specified in Contract, at Redwood Day School, in compliance with State and Federal Regulations and Guidelines, for the period of October 17, 2011 through June 29, 2012, in an amount not to exceed $7,380.00.
