Approval by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between District and Attitudinal Healing Connection, Inc, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide 140 hours professional development for Science teacher and Arts Learning lead teacher with a focus on building the site's capacity for effective teaching and instructional leadership through arts integration into core subjects, with the outcome of teachers being able to connect the arts to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math and understand the integral part arts play; provide, simultaneously, 7th grade students with integrated lessons in science through the arts at West Oakland Middle School, for the period January 9, 2012 through June 7, 2012, in an amount not to exceed $10,500.00.
