Title: Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between District and Bay Area Educational Consulting, Martinez, CA, for the latter to provide 80 hours of service to support teachers and leaders in demonstrating skills and knowledge to successfully implement routines, processes, and practices that establish an equity-centered professional learning community; initiate and support the use of data-based inquiry as (1) a re-culturing tool, (2) a strategy that allows the school community to transform the way both adult and student teaching and learning take place, and (3) ultimately a strategy to improve the educational outcomes for students. Teams of teachers will use the data-based inquiry curriculum to push, guide, and measure progress toward improved student achievement and equity, at Far West High School, for the period March 1, 2011 through June 30, 2011, in an amount not to exceed $5,000.00.
