Title: Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between District and Paula Inglis, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide 895 hours of service to design a reading program to meet the academic needs of struggling readers in Grades 3-5, i.e., pupils scoring Far Below Basic, Below Basic or Basic on the CST; conduct pre-assessments to determine the instructional level for selected students and provide same with 30-45 minutes of intervention three to four times a week; monitor student progress every six weeks by conducting formative assessments; share results from assessments with teachers and principal via monthly check-in meetings, at Sequoia Elementary School, for the period August 30, 2010 through June 16, 2011, in an amount not to exceed $35,800.00.
