Title: Ratification by the Board of Education of Amendment No. 1, Professional Services Contract between District and Lauren Markham, Berkeley, CA, for the latter to provide an additional 434 hours of service to plan and implement 15 parent/community meetings or "workshops" to reach a total of 125 newly-arrived refugee parents; to provide orientation support to all newly-arrived refugee students during the Fall semester, introduced pairs of students to the RASAP Program and the basic rules and expectations of US schools; provide outreach to new populations, including Mam, Sri Lankan, and Karenni refugees/asylees; coordinate translations and dissemination of community outreach materials, and provide other services described in the Scope of Work, incorporated herein by reference as though fully set forth, in an additional amount not to exceed $9,982.00, increasing the Contract from a not to exceed amount of $2,500.00 to $12,482.00 and extending the contract period of July 1, 2010 through Augus...
