Title: Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and Ann Wettrich, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide work with the Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) team to manage and coordinate the Arts Learning Anchor School program and support the transition to the new Strategic Arts blueprint. Tasks include: 1) Attend regular planning meetings with the VAPA team; 2) Work with site principals to identify a teacher leader in the arts; 3) Provide technical assistance to school site leaders in implementing their arts program as needed; 4) Build leadership capacity and understanding of quality arts education among school site teacher leaders; 5) Support teacher leaders in developing a site-based plan for their arts education programs; 6) Facilitate planning and professional development exchange sessions among District visual arts teachers; 7) Create a platform for documenting and sharing the arts education work being done at each site for all to lear...
