Title: Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and Claire Mayer, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide 150 hours of service to the Summer Algebra Academy Director at Oakland Tech to operationalize the goals and objectives of the Academy with a special focus on college readiness. Major duties and responsibilities include assisting the director in organizing and implementing educational fieldtrips and parent and other academy activities, developing an educational plan to fulfill A-G requirements for each student, facilitating weekly College Readiness seminars, monitoring student academic performance during the academy, maintaining parent contact, and providing personal/socio and crisis counseling, for the period June 23, 2009 through July 31, 2009, in an amount not to exceed $6,900.00.
