Title: Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between District and The Regents of the University of California, Berkeley, CA, for the latter to provide 40 hours of services at Castlemont High School as follows: * The Bay Area Writing Project will provide six days of coaching to the Castlemont teachers in Oakland, CA: 1. Maggie Sheffer, 2. Kateri Dodds, 3. Eric Carter Chu, and 4. Carrie Haslanger. * The focus of the work together will be the practice of instructional scaffolds and strategies that support students in developing official thinking and deeper analysis of text and in turn, more robust commentary in their writing. * Dates for teacher coaching: April 19, 23, 29 and May 7, 21, 28, 2013. for the period April 19, 2013 through May 28, 2013, in an amount not to exceed $6,000.00.
