Ratification by the Board of Education of a Services Agreement 2023-2024 by and between the District and Junior Center of Art and Science, Oakland, CA, for the latter to introduce students to a diverse sampling of Contemporary Artists and works, though Visual Representation, Art History, how artists give voice and life to big ideas that affect themselves and their communities; have students learn arts vocabulary, engage in drawing, painting, collage, and sculpture making; introduce students to multiple materials, tools and strategies for their own individual art making; have students showcase their creative process and celebrate the work in a final celebratory Art Exhibition at Emerson Elementary School, for the period of September 18, 2023 through May 25, 2024, in an amount not to exceed $23,100.00.
