Approval by the Board of Education of a Services Agreement 2025-2026 by and between the District and ANTS After School LLC, Santa Rosa, CA, for the latter to provide K-5th youth sports classes which teach the fundamentals of sports in a fun team environment that facilitates growth, exploration, and healthy habit development; provide ten-week site-based sports programs during after school programs throughout the year, including sports programming taking place at twenty school sites or more, including basketball, flag football, soccer, tennis, martial arts, and math hoops; provide at least eighteen 9-hour Saturday sports sessions which will include opportunities for students to participate in tennis, pickleball, tennis-baseball, flag football, dodgeball, lacrosse, basketball, volleyball, floor hockey, and math hoops; prioritize providing a safe and engaging sports program; have Sports providers participate in mandatory district-led professional development on the following items, which include but are not limited to, crisis response protocol, participation in fire/earthquake drills, family unifications, etc.; hope of creating a site-specific incident command system (ICS) process to support the Saturday program; participate in the "GO GIRLS, GO BEARS, GO PLAY" a National Girls and Women in Sports Day, focusing on upper elementary and middle school girls, held at UCB Campus, with students participating in the event gaining the following: (a) Gain exposure to a college campus & the women’s varsity sports at Cal; (b) Create awareness of sports gender equity, the relationship between girls and sports, and the benefits of sports participation; (c) Allow Cal student-athletes to interact with local students and learn more about the community and the power of girls and women’s sports, via Community Schools and Student Services Department, for the period of September 11, 2025 through May 22, 2026, in an amount not to exceed $200,000.00.
