Approval by the Board of Education of Amendment No. 2, Memorandum of Understanding and Engagement Policy (MOUEP) between District and Lozano Smith, Attorneys-at-Law, Walnut Creek, CA, for the latter to provide additional legal services - in the area of facilities and school construction, real estate matters, litigation, arbitration and dispute resolution, Proposition 39, E-rate; charter school and general business advice including but not limited to: 1. City of Oakland Parcel Swap at 1700 Market Street (Lafayette).2. Tilden long term ground lease for affordable housing. 3. Shands long term ground lease; and 4. The joint occupancy agreement for the new Piedmont library - to the District on an as needed basis, in an additional amount of $184,000.00, increasing the not to exceed amount of the MOU from $300,000.00 to $484,000.00, for the 2020-21 Fiscal Year. All other terms and conditions of the MOUEP remain in full force and effect.
