Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between District and Charlotte Knox Educational Associates, Point Richmond, CA, for the latter to provide 50 hours for reading workshop based on Lucy Calkins' work with the Colombia Teacher College Reading and Writing Project with focus on reading, writing and talking about texts; setting up classrooms that focus on reading, writing and discussion of texts is the core of workshop presentation, this will be done through a workshop approach; will feature two half days of model teaching with a classroom of children, at Emerson Elementary School, for the period June 19, 2012 through June 22, 2012, in an amount not to exceed $8,000.00.
