Title: Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between District and Gregory Bailey, for the latter to provide 585 hours of service to support District suspension reduction and positive school climate initiatives at one middle school. Consultant will provide conflict resolution services by recruiting, training and overseeing 6th, 7th, and 8th grade student peer mediators; consultant will support teachers by helping to coordinate violence prevention lesson delivery (Too Good for Violence) to 6th graders. Peer mediation and social skills training are key District youth development strategies that build school connectedness and academic success; for the period of August 24, 2009 through June 17, 2010 in an amount not to exceed $17,550.00.
