Approval by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and Heros, Inc., Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide services to pupils 1) that develop social, emotional skills to support positive behavior; 2) interventions for behaviorally challenged students; 3) community building and team building that support student academic focus and social development; and 4) provide professional development for staff to better connect with and support students in classrooms in order to reduce the suspension rate at East Oakland Pride Elementary School, for the period October 28, 2013 through June 20, 2014, in an amount not to exceed $28,000.00.
