Title: Ratification by the Board of Education of a Services Agreement 2022-2023 by and between the District and Bela Bhasin, Oakland, CA, for the latter to create tools to identify 1) Culturally responsive strategies currently being used at school for improving connectedness, especially for ELL and AA students, (i.e., Teacher Focus Group Guide & Leadership Interview Guide); 2) Conduct a series of family focus groups to gather baseline data on connectedness and belonging with a focus on families of ELL and AA students; 3) Conduct a series of teacher focus groups and leadership interviews to identify culturally responsive strategies for improving connectedness for ELL and AA students and families; 4) Support site leaders to make sense of the data gathered and identify the next steps and provide thought partnership as needed, via English Language Learner and Multilingual Achievement Department, for the period of January 16, 2023 through June 30, 2023, in an amount not to exceed $15,000.00.
