Title: Ratification by the Board of Education of a Services Agreement 2026-2027 by and between the District and Ocelotl, Oakland, CA, for the latter to train and supervise 18 student Language Navigator mentors, four hours per week, to support Newcomer students in navigating coursework and fostering confidence, belonging, and academic success; delivering training on trauma-informed practices, SEL, and topics such as race, culture, gender, and identity; collaborate with staff to provide consultation, clinical supervision, and program design guidance; and coordinate weekly meetings on student needs, support communication between mentors and teachers, and implement systems to track progress toward School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) and California Community Schools Partnership Program (CCSPP) goals related to attendance, graduation, and academic outcomes, via Talent / Human Resources Department, for the period of August 17, 2026 through June 30, 2027, in an amount not to exceed $40,000.00.
