Title: Approval by the Board of Education of Amendment No. 1 of a Professional Services Contract between District and S & S Math Services, LLC, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide an additional 182 hours of regular classroom-based professional development to each teacher at Futures Elementary, increasing in frequency from one day per week to three days per week through the remainder of the 2009-2010 school year; provide classroom modeling to reinforce the aforementioned components of Futures math instruction; facilitate in-depth discussion of strategies and best practices for effectively teaching math content; assist in training teachers for effective summer school instruction, both in pedagogy and instructional choices such as materials, lessons, assessments and instructional strategies, at Futures Elementary School, for the period August 24, 2009 through June 30, 2010, in an additional amount of $14,481.00, increasing the Contract from a not to exceed amount of $30,000.00 to $44,481.00....
