Title: Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and Cycles of Change, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide classes with three primary goals: to help students develop a full understanding of the connection of the living systems and human communities of our local area via exploring the city via bicycles; to have students begin to develop and strengthen these connections as a means of improving personal and community health and to provide all students with access to healthy fiscal options (the exercise piece of biking) and by bringing in experts (in the area of bike maintenance) to community to share their expertise regarding all things bicycle at MetWest High School, for the period of September 12, 2011 through January 11, 2012, in an amount not to exceed $2,135.00.
