Ratification by Board of Education of Professional Services Contract between District and S&S Math Services, LLC, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide 370 hours of guidance and facilitate continuing development of a rigorous mathematics program; work with teachers and administrators to improve mathematics achievement of students by developing a rigorous mathematics program, including deepening teacher content knowledge through ongoing professional development and grade level meetings; building whole-school mathematics practices including a fact mastery program, lesson planning frameworks, ongoing standards-based assessment, math journals, and gradual release for independent student work; creating protocols and structure to align instruction to the schools Theory of Action, with special emphasis given to the critical role of dialogue in conceptual mathematics acquisition, at Futures Elementary School, for the period August 24, 2009 through June 30, 2010, in an amount not to exceed $30,000.00.
