Approval by the Board of Education of Memorandum of Understanding, No Cost between the District and Diversity In Health Training Institute, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide through its Sidra Community Wellness Program, one-on-one preventive counseling, support groups, educational workshops, community events and promotional materials to support the wellness and mental health of students, in particular Middle Eastern and North African students and families in the District; offer consultations to school staff and teachers about how to be culturally responsive and supportive with Middle Eastern and North African students and families; and support students and families with applicable referrals to additional social and mental health services, at West Oakland Middle School and Oakland International High School, via the Community Schools and Student Services Department, for the period of December 9, 2019 through December 9, 2022, at no cost to the District.
