Approval by the Board of Education of a Services Agreement 2026-2027 by and between the District and Oakland Public Education Fund, Oakland, CA, for the latter to hire Tobacco Use Prevention Education (TUPE) Coaches to conduct one to one interventions with students, facilitate drug intervention groups with three to five students, participate in Coordination of Services Meetings for referrals, support with classroom presentations (as requested to promote services, conduct school-wide outreach (e.g. tabling at a health fair), and attend all TUPE Coach meetings and trainings; have TUPE coaches manage student caseloads of up to 10 per school, via Community Schools and Student Services Department, for the period of August 10, 2026 through June 30, 2027, in an amount not to exceed $255,000.00.
