Approval by the Board of Education of Amendment No.1, Professional Services Contract between the District and National Equity Project, Oakland, CA, for the latter to  provide Coaching for Equity Institute and Training Seminars/Deepening Leadership & Coaching skills which topics include: Developing, refining and sustaining structures, routines and roles for adult learning; skills for leading change in challenging context including social-emotional intelligence and building trust and relationships; practice in effective individual and group facilitation and intervention techniques; Insights into biases in institutional policies and practices; protocols for leading structured coaching conversations and targeting coaching on root problems rather than symptoms; focused development and training to be provided to ensure Leadership Curriculum & Instruction has a shared set of skills, knowledge and technology that supports district-wide Focal 15 initiative; provide Executive coaching/leadership and program effectiveness which will include delivering ongoing coaching support of the Executive Officer of Leadership, Curriculum & Instruction to increase capacity of operationalize the mission, outcomes and development of the Leadership, Curriculum & Instruction Department, in an additional amount of $45,000.00, increasing Contract not to exceed amount from $10,500.00 to $55,500.00, for the period February 1, 2011 through June 30, 2011. All other terms and conditions of the Contract remaining in full force and effect.
